Try everything… (part 2)

Building a sense of belonging is very important when you are starting something new. As I moved along all kinds of photography jobs, I realized that I was always happier when I could collaborate with people and my community. I really enjoyed being the problem solver, the one who always showed up with the camera, the one who actually made people feel good about themselves, empowered by the images I created.

I started offering Portrait sessions, especially for Maternity, Mother’s Day and Families. There is nothing like a classic family portrait that never gets old! Around this time I started following Sue Bryce and all her teachings. I found her to be an incredible photographer, enterprenuer, and enthusiast about the industry. I do think a lot of my photographic skills were shaped by her style.

More an more I fell in love with my craft. Every year more clients, friends, jobs, more joy in creating impactfull images. Instead of being so focused on finding one specific niche of photography, I started owning the fact I simply love everything about it, but mostly what I especially love are the people connections.

Ok ok, one also needs to feed the birds, so eventually I tuned into the service exchange part! Yes, photography gear very expensive, my time is super valuable and my talent? Well, priceless! haha #photobymayraroubach
